The Digital Collaboration & Workplace department at Vestas is dedicated to empowering digital employees to work from anywhere, at any time, and with anyone, using the best and most secure digital tools.
Our team consists of over 46 full-time employees, spread across six Digital Products. We provide solutions that support both personal productivity and group collaboration across Vestas, enabling colleagues to innovate and manage value-adding, tailor-made apps and business process automations.
Our offerings include enterprise service management, IT asset management, mobile subscription solutions, productivity and collaboration solutions, business process solutions, desktop solutions, and device & workplace solutions.
In Vestas Digital Solutions, we work in an agile product setup. As Technical Area Lead, you will be responsible for resources and staffing, technical competencies, and technical development, while your counterpart, the Product Area Lead, will be responsible for the products and product delivery.Responsibilities

  • We are looking for a strong technical profile who, when needed, can step into the role of Technical Area Architect across the diverse products within this area – and who enjoys working hands-on with complex technical challenges
  • Define the technical vision and roadmap for the Digital Collaboration & Workplace area, ensuring alignment with consumer requirements and business objectives
  • Oversee the staffing and configuration of Product Teams, acting as a sparring partner for Product Area Leads on tech escalations
  • Drive people and knowledge development within the team, collaborating with Chapter Leads to build capabilities and strengthen methodologies
  • Work closely with Product Area Architects and Lead Engineers to translate business requirements into a cohesive tech vision and roadmap
  • Share responsibility for the product area budget with the Product Area Lead (PAL)
  • Ensure continuous optimization for cost-effective operation and high operational stability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in IT management, with a focus on digital collaboration and workplace solutions
  • Proven track record of managing teams and driving technical projects to successful completion
  • Strong understanding of enterprise service management, IT asset management, mobile subscription solutions, productivity and collaboration solutions, business process solutions, desktop solutions, and device & workplace solutions

Competencies

  • Ability to set the direction for tech delivery and align technical vision with business objectives
  • Skilled in driving people and knowledge development within the team
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with Product Area Leads, Chapter Leads, Product Area Architects, and Lead Engineers
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address tech escalations and ensure operational stability
