Job description: Keepit is looking for a person that has extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines to lead the transformation with automated builds, tests and the processes needed in the organization to support our growth.We are running everything on our own servers in datacenters around the world.We are growing fast as a company and do our best to bring our SaaS cloud-based backup services to the global audience.Our platform is designed to provide customers with an immutable historical archive of their primary data in systems such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Entra ID, Dynamics 365, and Zendesk. It aims to protect them against everything, starting from ransomware to simple accidents.Most of our back-end components are written in clean, modern C++ using mainly purpose-built components. Several components that deal with business processes and data mining are built using Common Lisp. Everything runs on Linux.Backing up billions of objects over foreign APIs using imperfect networks on systems with finite memory and making it all happen in as little time as possible, is no small feat.If you think solving hard problems is fun, we have strong indications that we will not run out of hard problems any time soon. - Manage our transition to a modern DevOps development cycle.
- Continuously drive and progress DevOps maturity and visibility. Promote a culture of continuous improvement
- Improve the foundations around our code repositories, build-frameworks and automated testing with common best practices.
- Work with the extension and development of automation tooling.
- Maintaining documentation for daily operations. Providing visible references for best practices that teams can follow.
- Design and drive a long-term strategy for our nextgen CI/CD system to prepare us for the future.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of DevOps engineers.
- Collaborate with product, security, and engineering leadership to synchronize DevOps principles throughout the organization.
Required skills:
- Excellent fundamentals of what good DevOps consists of and demonstrable previous success in building CI/CD DevOps pipelines for multiple teams.
- Experience with non-disruptive and successful transitioning of software development teams to new improved processes.
- Excellent knowledge about automated build/test frameworks.
- Good Linux knowledge
- Basic networking skills; firewalling, NAT, VLAN, TCP/IP
- Solid Debian/Ubuntu experience
- Experience with containerization and container orchestration
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Excellent verbal and written English
- Structure and discipline
- Management, mentoring, and leadership experience
- Security
Bonus skills:
- Familiarity with ISO27001, ISAE3402
- Grafana stack for observability
- Python
- GitLab/GitHub
- Familiarity with backup software
- Postgres databases
