Temporary Accounts AssistantWe are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis, with the potential for extension for the right candidate. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain further experience in a hands-on finance role, particularly in the lead-up to year-end accounts.

• Location: Wilton, Cork
• Salary: €17 per hour
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Input and consolidation of financial data using Excel
• Bank reconciliation and reconciliation of cash accounts
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Payroll processing
• Responding to finance-related email queries
• General administrative and filing duties
• Supporting the wider finance team with day-to-day tasks

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an accounts or finance environment is desirable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage 50 and payroll systems (an advantage)
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A positive, team-focused attitude
• Willingness to learn and take instruction
• Full training will be provided
