Job description: Offer DescriptionTenure-Track Position “Higher Education and AI-Competent University Teaching“The Linz School of Education announces the opening for a Tenure-Track position in Higher Education and AI-Competent University Teachingat the Johannes Kepler University Linz. Candidates must hold a Doctorate/PhD degree.In accordance with the collective agreement for employees and the Austrian Universities Act, the Linz School of Education announces the opening for a full-time (40 h/week), six-year Tenure-Track position at the Johannes Kepler University Linz.The position is dedicated to highly qualified junior researchers with a Doctorate/PhD and corresponding expertise in the field of Higher Education and AI-Competent University Teaching. The position offers the possibility of concluding a qualification agreement that – upon the successful completion of the requirements as outlined in the agreement – may result in a permanent position as Associate Professor (§ 99 Sec. 5 and 6 of the Austrian Universities Act).The candidate should have worked on research questions related to (higher) education research and/or research on teaching and learning. Research on the use of AI in teaching and learning processes is desirable.The successful candidate should have an outstanding academic track record after completing the Doctorate/PhD and demonstrate excellence in subject-specific academic publishing (e.g., first-author publications in Scopus-indexed academic journals) and expertise teaching university-level courses. The doctorate/Ph.D. degree should have been completed no more than five years ago, taking into account, for example, care responsibilities and professional activities outside of research.Detailed information on the position and its strategic direction of research, the focus in research and teaching, the expected scope of contributions to teaching/education, the required degree of professional experience, the main qualification goals, as well as information regarding the existing research infrastructure, and other job-specific requirements can be found in the detailed job description at .The minimum salary in accordance to the collective agreement of 2025 is EUR 69,060.60 per year based on full-time employment.
