Job description: Job IntroductionBratislava-based FREQUENTIS Solutions & Services s. r. o. belongs to the Austrian FREQUENTIS Group (www.frequentis.com), specialized in mission-critical communication and IT solutions, e.g. in air traffic control, defense, public safety, public transport or maritime.When it comes to Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM), Frequentis is a significant member of a group that coordinates R&D activities around the Single European Sky initiative. As part of that initiative, we are participating in multiple R&D projects focused on challenges drones pose to air traffic management. These challenges include for example private drones interfering with commercial air traffic, smaller commercial drones used for parcel delivery and an anticipated shift from manned aircrafts to unmanned aircrafts in commercial aviation. Also, in some of our other business domains we see the need to adapt to and integrate drones, for example to increase the situational awareness of public safety control room operators (police, ambulance and fire agencies).We are currently expanding our team of Test Engineers, who are responsible for testing our mission-critical software solutions to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance with industry standards. • Perform functional and non-functional testing of system using manual testing techniques
• Write and execute basic test cases
• Work with various testing tools, including simulators, measuring devices, diagnostic tools, etc.
• Write bug reports, present findings to software development/business user teams/system engineers
• Develop and support the development of test plans, test cycles and test statistics
• Write the test preparation and test results documentation
• Review other testing-related documentation
• Develop and maintain test data
• Cooperate with requirements engineers, software developers and system engineers

Key QualificationsTechnical skills & Knowledge

• Experience in software/hardware/network testing (Test Environment management)
• Experience with test phase processes (preparation, execution, evaluation) and documentation (Test Data management)
• Experience with a BUG reporting (Defect management)
• Experience with agile software/system development process is an advantage
• Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Jama tools is an advantage
• Microsoft Office, Computer literacy and general overview of IT technologies
• Proficiency in written and spoken English

• Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to collaborate effectively across various teams
• Strong analytical skills and thinking outside the box
• Attention to detail
• 95% HO acceptable, with exception of occasional travelling to our headquarters in Vienna or our office in Bratislava (for trainings, team events, etc.)
