Job description: Offer DescriptionThe projectThe project is located within WP3 of the PharmECO project ( ) to develop a sustainable technology platform. The utilization of biocatalysts/enzymes as powerful catalysts for a sustainable and atom-efficient production of relevant targets has become an attractive alternative to traditional chemistry. Highly relevant reactions for industry to access pharmaceutical compounds are in the scope of the two PhD positions. The aim is to develop biocatalytic synthetic methods relevant for industry.Where to apply E-mailsi.glueck@uni-graz.atRequirementsResearch Field Chemistry Education Level Master Degree or equivalentSkills/QualificationsWe expectthat you have completed a master degree at a recognized University in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Chemistry or related fields.Research experience in the following areas is needed:

• Biocatalysis
• Biochemistry
• Organic chemistry
• Molecular biology
• Instrumental analytics (HPLC, GC, NMR, MS etc.)

Advantageous but not strictly required is know-how in

• Structural biology
• Enzymology
• Bioinformatics

• The monthly gross salary is EUR 2786,- (14 times a year).
