Then join our accomplished team!Your personal sphere of influence:As a university assistant prae doc, you will complement the research team around Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Forgó and take over tasks such as working in research and administration and participating in the teaching activities of the institute.Our research focuses on data protection, AI law, IT security, intellectual property law and the application of Austrian and European legal norms to the various data sets of our research projects.Team Forgó currently consists of 2 postdocs, 4 praedocs, 3 student assistant / e-multiplicators, 21 project staff and 3 administrative colleagues.What sets us apart as a team is our team spirit and cohesion as well as our mutual support; what is particularly important to us is that we treat each other with respect and cordiality.Your future tasks:You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- You are involved in research projects and scientific studies in the field of IT/IP law.
- We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
- You work on your dissertation and its completion.
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed Master’s degree or Diploma, in the field of law
- Basic experience in academic writing and with research methods
- Initial experience in the acquisition/ realization of (third-party funded) research projects desired
- Didactic competences / experience with e-learning
- IT user skills: e.g. MS Office
- An affinity for technology is desireable
- Excellent command of written and spoken German and English (C1 Level)
- You should be a team player with high social skills
- Willingness to participate in international and interdisciplinary research
What we offer:The employment duration is 4 years.
