Prof. Dr. Lisa Isola and support teaching and research in the field of Roman Foundations of European Private Law.The employment duration is 3 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 3 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a declaration of non-extension. With appropriate work progress, an extension to a total maximum of 4 years is possible.This is what you do:You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:

  • Assisting in the preparation and execution of research projects
  • Potentially applying for your own projects and securing third-party funding
  • Participation in examination activities
  • Assisting in teaching activities
  • Independently conducting teaching activities in accordance with collective agreement regulations
  • Providing student support
  • Contributing to evaluation measures and quality assurance
  • Supporting the organization and execution of meetings, conferences, and symposia
  • Contributing to publications and academic articles
  • Completion of a dissertation agreement within 12 – 18 months is expected
  • Opportunity to write a dissertation
  • Administrative tasks in research and teaching
  • Engaging in international presentations and publications

This is part of your personality:

  • Completed Diploma in the field of law
  • Special interest in Roman Law, Civil Law, Comparative Private Law, and History of Private Law
  • Above-average academic success (at least in the field of Roman and Civil Law)
  • Very good IT skills
  • Excellent command of written and spoken German as well as solid command of English and Latin
  • Ability to work in a team and strong social/communication competence
  • Knowledge of university processes and structures
  • Basic experience in academic writing and research methods
  • Didactic skills / experience of working with e-learning
