As part of a targeted impulse program, the faculty is announcing the establishment of six Young Research Groups. The aim is to give outstanding young scientists the opportunity to establish independent research groups in pioneering medical fields.Funding will be provided for excellent projects in the following key research areas
– Neurosciences
– Cardiovascular and metabolic diseases
– Medical Artificial Intelligence
– Inflammation medicine
– Developmental medicine
– Tumor medicineThe planned Comprehensive Cancer Center Linz (CCCL) is looking for a dedicated PostDoc with international research experience to establish and lead an independent junior research group in the field of tumor medicine. The group will be supported by two PraeDocs and is expected to make innovative, scientifically excellent contributions to a central research focus of the Faculty of Medicine.Job Duties:

• Independent research activities at the Department of Internal Medicine 3 – Hematology and Internal Oncology and at the planned Comprehensive Cancer Center Linz (

) * Establishment and management of a junior research group (with two PraeDoc positions)

• Participation in research work at the planned Comprehensive Cancer Center Linz
• Participation in teaching
• Supervision of Bachelor’s and Master’s theses
• Participation in academic self-administration

Your Qualifications:

• Completed studies with a doctorate/Ph.D. in medicine, natural sciences or a related field
• Independent research program in the field of tumor medicine
• Initial experience with the acquisition of competitive third-party funded projects
• Teaching skills and experience at Bachelor’s and Master’s level
• Experience abroad and involvement in international research
• Publications in leading (inter)national peer-reviewed journals
• Very good knowledge of German and English (German level C1, English level C1)
