You’ll drive value engineering strategies from concept to production, leveraging CAD tools, material expertise, and innovative sourcing to deliver high-impact solutions. Join us to shape smarter, more cost-effective products that make a real differenceAs VAVE Engineer – Cost Engineering (d/f/m) you will be responsible for:Evaluating, promoting and improving designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturing improvements, increased quality, and value.Developing and implementing the value engineering strategy and process.Defining and maintaining the project schedule for cost reduction programs, monitor progress, and drive executionIdentifying and driving cost reduction initiatives with engineering, supply chain, and operations. Communicating ideas using CAD/3D models, and prototypes.Supporting design of components and subassemblies, including material selection, production process definition, dimensions and tolerances.Recommending design approaches to meet production requirements for new/improved products or processes including developing test plans, coordinating engineering document changes.Leading Value Analysis and Value Engineering projects with production and development teams from concept to production.Developing modular portfolio/Standardization of part families to support Engineering teams and exploring new cost-effective technologies and sources with Sourcing team.Assisting with designing, developing, executing, and evaluating fit-for-use testing, product specifications and process validation plans.Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:Have proven experience in Value Analysis/Value Engineering, design and cost optimizationHave proven experience in cost modeling / should costing and explore new cost effective technologies and sourcesHave good knowledge about mathematical analysis & modeling, prototyping, quality assurance process and reliability analysisHave CAD and CAE software experiencesHave experience with industrial and laboratory safety standards (UL and CE marking) and with industrial automation platformsHave solid PC skills with knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.Be able to speak fluent English and German and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skillsWork in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
