Job description: Warehouse Officer – temporary contract (expected duration until end of August). Public bodyLocation: Citywest, Dublin35 hours per week (flexitime available), on-site.Rate: €30.69 p/hThe role of the Warehouse Officer is to ensure that buildings, grounds and equipment are well maintained and meet safety codes. A key part of this role is ensuring that the central Warehouse and Main Office at Citywest are maintained to the high standard.Responsibilities:
Ensure that facilities (buildings and grounds) are well-maintained and meet safety codes.
Oversee maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, and manage contracts with vendors and suppliers.
Maintenance of all health and safety aspects of the warehouse and Citywest facility
Oversee contractor coordination and manage facilities-related visits at CityWest HQ properties to ensure smooth daily operations.
Manage service contracts, including those with the cleaning provider, ensuring service standards are maintained and meeting rooms are properly prepared for use.
Coordinate the distribution of workwear to relevant staff across the organization in a timely and organized manner.
Manage data the database and generate reports for management reviews
Maintenance of an accurate record of all assets located in the warehouse and within company premises
Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipping, and receiving logs.
Liaising with suppliers of field and technical equipment to ensure appropriate equipment is available to field staff as required for specific projects
Liaise with the HR team regarding workwear requirements for new starters, ensuring appropriate items are prepared and dispatched to the relevant River Basin Districts (RBDs) in a timely manner.
Instigating purchase orders for equipment required for operational and field work · Purchasing and Procurement in accordance with regulations and guidelines and inclusion of equipment on asset registers
Issuing and maintaining records of equipment to staff on a national basis
Upkeep of warehouse and Citywest main office housekeeping, maintenance and health and safety
Practical understanding of OGP procurement regulations and guidelines
Requirements:
A recognised third-level qualification in a relevant discipline, at a minimum level of NFQ Level 7, or equivalent
A full Category B driving licence that is valid in Ireland
People management and supervisory skills
Proficient in the use of MS Excel & Word
Experience of equipment management and servicing at a national level
Customer service skills and understanding of internal customer needs
Highly experienced in inventory management systems and stock auditing processes
Experienced in developing and implementing a task/action ticketing system
Ability to write reports and to analyse large amounts of data
Experienced in managing facilities and project to completion.
