Job description: We are urgently seeking a Stock Controller / Engineering Stores Operative to join a busy stores team supporting MRO spares for a well-established company based in Westport, Co. Mayo. This is a full-time, permanent role with an immediate start available.The Role:
This is a hands-on stores and inventory support role, ideal for someone with general warehouse or materials handling experience who is also confident working with systems. A key part of this position involves managing inventory, using ERP software, and keeping stock data accurate and up to date. Candidates should be comfortable spending a portion of each day working on a laptop and not solely focused on manual labour.Key Responsibilities:Receive and label deliveries, updating ERP systems (e.g. Maximo or similar)Set up and maintain inventory records with high accuracyIssue materials to maintenance and engineering teamsConduct regular cycle counts and support stock reconciliationMaintain clean and audit-ready stores areasManage stock movements and returnsLiaise with internal stakeholders and suppliersWhat We’re Looking For:Experience in a warehouse or stock control environmentStrong IT skills and ability to work with ERP or inventory systems (Maximo experience a plus)Good attention to detail and accuracy in data entryExcellent communication skills and customer-focused approachAbility to work well in a team and support wider site operationsPrior exposure to engineering spares, MRO, or similar is beneficialWorking Hours:Monday to Thursday: 8.15am – 5.00pmFriday: 8.15am – 4.00pmIf you have a background in stock control, warehouse operations, or inventory management and are looking to join a supportive team in Westport, we’d love to hear from you.Apply now with your updated CV and for more information or a confidential chat, contact Jason Devlin at FRS Recruitment.
